Gaza is now facing a confirmed famine, according to a UN-backed report. More than 500,000 people are suffering from catastrophic hunger, with children severely malnourished and death rates rising. UN officials blame Israeli border restrictions for blocking aid, calling it a man-made disaster. Israel claims the report is biased, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejecting the claims of famine as an “outright lie.”
