Skiing with a disability may not be easy, but it’s not impossible. A club in the ski-resort town of Schladming is providing accessible skiing and allowing everyone to enjoy the slopes.

In Schladming, Austria, the non-profit PSOactive makes skiing accessible for people with disabilities. With sit-skis, special attachments and guided training, participants like Andrea and eight-year-old Felix can navigate even steep slopes. While lifts remain challenging, improvisation ensures access. The program relies on donations so inclusive skiing doesn’t depend on income.
