Ugandan opposition leaderBobi Wine says he is in hiding after a military raid on his home following a disputed election that he claims he won but which declared President Yoweri Museveni the victor. Uganda’s election ends with another term for Museve. He says his family is under house arrest, and that army chief Muhoozi Kainerugaba — Museveni’s son — has threatened him, leaving him fearing for his safety. Bobi Wine says he has no faith in Uganda’s courts and is instead urging Ugandans to pursue nonviolent resistance.
