Israel says one of the bodies returned by the militant group doesn’t match any known hostage. The handover came after Israel announced it would cut in half the number of aid trucks allowed to enter Gaza. In the Palestinian territory, residents are still trying to come to terms with hardship and devastation.

In Gaza, residents keep facing dire shortages of food, water, shelter, and blankets with winter approaching. Entire neighborhoods lie in ruins, and prices for basic goods are rising. Aid trucks remain stalled at the Rafah Crossing, pending Israeli inspection. Meanwhile, Israel confirmed the identities of three bodies returned in a convoy, with the bodies of at least 20 hostages still believed to be held in Gaza.
