Wildfire sets off landmines around Tehran’s Evin prison, Iran’s judiciary says

Aug 4 (Reuters) – A wildfire caused by hot weather briefly flared in grassland around Evin prison in north Tehran, detonating landmines in a security zone around the facility on Friday, Iran’s judiciary said.

The judiciary’s Mizan news agency said the fire that lasted only “a few minutes,” was “immediately brought under control,” and there was no damage to the prison facilities.
