In response to attacks on its power grid, Ukraine has launched strikes on Russian oil and gas infrastructure. Ukraine’s government says this is part of a new strategy to bring the war home to Russia and pressure Vladimir Putin into peace talks.

Ukraine is ramping up drone and missile strikes deep inside Russia, targeting oil refineries, ammunition plants and military assets.

The attacks have triggered fuel shortages and price hikes, prompting Russia to deploy reservists to guard key infrastructure.

Ukraine’s government says the goal is to pressure Russia into ending the war.
